  • Infection: bullous tinea pedis, tinea corporis, tinea barbae, white superfi- cial onychomycosis, tinea capitis (ectothrix)
  • Colony: fluffy white to buff → reverse red to brown
  • Hyphae: spiral hyphae (black arrow)
  • Conidia: cigar-shaped, thin-walled microconidia
  • Misc: (+) hair perforation, (−) pigmentation on cornmeal agar, (+) urease
