Lichen simplex

Lichen simplex occurs due to the repeated rubbing or scratching of an irritated or itchy area of skin which becomes a lichenified patch of eczema; scaling and fissuring may also be present. It may appear as a single lesion or occur in multiple sites on any part of the body.
