  • Superficial variant of MFH; low-grade sarcoma typically in elderly patients with small risk of metastasis
  • Presents with red nodule or plaque on sun-damaged skin with frequent ulceration
  • Histology: cellular proliferation in dermis consisting of bizarre spindle cells, epithelioid cells, and multinucleated giant cells, ± foamy cells, many atypical mitoses and severe pleomorphism seen, prominent solar elastosis
